BTC meets at the ETH Conference: Welcome BTC Denver
Collected by leading Dev House Boosty Labs, Bitcoin Denver, is brought together under their new event series “BTC_U_THERE,” which will bring 30 speakers, 50 hand-selected Hackathon participants, and a curated audience of over 200 builders, founders, VCS and BTC OGS.
On Friday, February 28, on a private venue, Bitcoin leaders, including farmer Joe, Jan Smejkal of Xverse and Vitalii Yatskiv of Boosty Labs, discussed and defined the future of Defi on Bitcoin. BTC Denver, co-represented by Runesdex, Rootstock, Glittr, Cash Labs, and more than a dozen leading companies, BTC Denver will be an event like other events.
BTC Denver bridges the gap between the popular ETH DENVER conference environment and the powerful momentum building around Bitcoin, aiming to show how Defi on Bitcoin is ready to change the decentralized finances we know. With a focus on scaling solutions on Bitcoin, cross-chain collaboration and innovative smart contract development, the event is backed by impressive sponsors including Runesdex, Rootstock, Glittr, Glittr, Cash Labs, and several other leading Bitch Coin ecosystem companies.
At the heart of BTC Denver is a highly selective hackathon with 50 developers selected from over 500 applicants for expertise and creativity in their field. These participants will compete for bounties from Glittr, Runesdex, Synternet, and other top projects, aiming to build important tools, dashboards and protocols for Bitcoin from smart contracts to stable coins and beyond.
The Hackathon Bounty will be officially announced at noon on February 27, providing the team with less than 30 hours of strategy before presenting the final demonstration. Submissions will be awarded between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm on February 28, including:

Despite the hackathon, 30 key figures of Bitcoin and the wider cryptocurrency landscape will be on the top panel, fireside chats and keynotes to explore the theme of “Scaling Bitcoin.” Topics range from BTC-based DEFI opportunities to broader regulations, interoperability and user adoption discussions.
The show of the day will begin with a keynote speech by Viktor Ihnatiuk, founder of Boosty Labs, who will set the tone for this bizarre event, which is Bitcoin’s growing potential in the Defi space and celebrates its future potential and scalability.

BTC Denver will mark a milestone in the ongoing development of the Bitcoin ecosystem, bringing together diverse cross-sections of the cryptocurrency community. Participants will have first-hand insights into the terminology of the BTC-FI campaign, which describes the intersection of Bitcoin and decentralized financing, and are drawing new lessons for the industry. The campaign aims to integrate Bitcoin’s robustness and security with adaptability and innovations often associated with the Ethereum-based Defi protocol, enhancing the overall functionality and utility of the Bitcoin network.
