Metaplanet Buys $13.4 Million in Bitcoin, Boosts Holdings to 2,391 BTC
Metaplanet purchased another 156 bitcoins worth $13.4 million, totaling 2,391 BTC on its balance sheet. It announced the acquisition of additional Bitcoin as part of its ongoing Bitcoin Treasury business.
The latest purchase price includes 156 bitcoins, with an average price of 12,952,147 yen per bitcoin, totaling 20.21 billion yen. This brings the company’s total Bitcoin holdings to 2,391 Bitcoins, with a total investment of 29.828 billion yen. The acquisition highlights Metaplanet’s continued commitment to increasing its Bitcoin reserves.
The company revealed that in the fourth quarter of 2024, the company’s BTC yield was 309.8%. From the quarter to January 1, 2025 to March 3, 2025, the company’s BTC yield was 31.8%.
