Robinhood CLO Dan Gallagher Exits US SEC Chair Race
Robinhood Chief Legal Officer Dan Gallagher is a leading candidate for the SEC chairmanship, but he will not take the lead in leading the US SEC. He issued a statement to CNBC saying he had made it clear to those involved that he was not interested in being considered for the position. It is worth noting that former Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Chairman Chris Giancarlo also recently stated that he has no plans to become the next US SEC Chairman. Cryptocurrency expert Paul Atkins is also considering replacing Gary Gensler with Robert Stebbins.
