Bitstamp Lists Ripple RLUSD Stablecoin On The Platform
In the latest development, Bitstamp announced in its recent blog post that Ripple USD (RLUSD) is now available for trading on the platform. The stablecoin is supported by the Ethereum network and can be traded with six major currency pairs: USD, EUR, Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and USDT. Notably, Ripple RLUSD is backed by U.S. dollars at a 1:1 ratio and issued under a New York Trust Charter, ensuring stability and regulatory compliance. Ripple President Monica Long recently said that the company will announce more listings in the near future. Bitstamp is also considering launching a derivatives exchange on the XRP Ledger, which could increase the use of XRP in the cryptocurrency space due to its low fees and fast transaction speeds.
