Boring? Binance Founder Downplays Bitcoin $100K Milestone
A former executive at the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange predicts Bitcoin could soar past $100,000.
Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao believes the nascent cryptocurrency is capable of reaching higher price points following its brief recovery to $100,000 on Tuesday.

Zhao, who is also the founder of Binance, said the top crypto asset can do better and surpass the $100,000 price point.

After falling to the key $100,000 level on December 19, Bitcoin remained below $100,000 for quite some time before gaining momentum pushing it to this milestone level, with investors seeing Bitcoin hit $100,000 later and back to its former glory.

Bitcoin is destined to reach new heights
Zhao, popularly known as CZ, asserted that Bitcoin is more capable of reaching prices above $100,000. Therefore, the former cryptocurrency executive is not surprised that BTC has made a comeback and surged in the past 24 hours.

Last month, Bitwise executive Matt Hougan predicted bullish run Cryptocurrency prices will continue to grow through 2025. Hougan expects other top crypto assets to surge in price, with Bitcoin leading the charge.
Hougan believes that Bitcoin could reach $200,000 by the end of 2025 and claims that inflows from Bitcoin ETFs may stimulate demand from corporate entities. Therefore, this will increase their exposure to major crypto assets.

Zhao is optimistic about the future of cryptocurrencies, saying 2025 will be the “year of sending” for digital assets. According to analysts, the word “send” is used when cryptocurrency excitement comes from a price spike.

Other market analysts agree that the price of digital assets will surge in 2025, driven by the adoption of cryptocurrencies by institutional investors and governments.
Although the former Binance CEO believes Bitcoin will break $100,000, Zhao did not provide any evidence price prediction This year. However, Zhao has also repeatedly hinted that Bitcoin could trade at $850,000 per coin.
