Circle Launches Paymaster for USDC Gas Fee Payments on Arbitrum and Base
Circle recently launched Circle Paymaster, a stablecoin payment solution that allows gas payments in USDC on Ethereum-based Arbitrum and Base. Paymaster simplifies transactions by eliminating the need for native tokens like Ethereum (ETH). The use of USD Coin (USDC) to pay for gas demonstrates the growing use of stablecoins as stable alternatives to volatile cryptocurrencies. Circle plans to expand its Paymaster service to more blockchain platforms, including Ethereum, Polygon PoS, and Solana. The launch of Paymaster comes after Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire made optimistic comments about the future of cryptocurrency trading services in the U.S. banking industry under Donald Trump’s potential cryptocurrency policies.
