Coinbase Achieves Major Milestone, Lists Its 100th Perpetual Futures Contract
The latest development is that Coinbase International, the overseas branch of the Coinbase exchange, achieved an important milestone with the listing of its 100th perpetual futures contract. This milestone reflects Coinbase’s commitment to providing diverse trading opportunities and expanding its global reach.

Notably, Coinbase’s 100th perpetual futures listing marks a major milestone for its international exchange, and the four upcoming perpetual futures listings will further this milestone: Moo Deng, Algorand, The Sandbox, and Mog Coin.
Coinbase will add support for Moo Deng, Algorand, The Sandbox and Mog Coin perpetual futures on Coinbase International Exchange and Coinbase Advanced. “Our markets for MOODENG-PERP, ALGO-PERP, SAND-PERP and 1000MOG-PERP will open on or after 9:30 AM UTC on December 12, 2024,” it noted in the X post.
MOG Coin, a meme token launched on the Ethereum layer 1 blockchain, has received widespread attention after Coinbase announced on December 3, 2024 that it would be added to its listing roadmap. The token’s value surged by more than 20% after the news broke, giving it a market capitalization of nearly $1 billion. MOG is currently among the top 150 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
Coinbase’s addition of MOG to its listing roadmap follows similar moves by other meme tokens such as Moo Deng (MOODENG), which soared 80% upon listing.
Algorand claims to be an energy-efficient, quantum-safe, single-layer blockchain with instant finality, consistently high throughput, and low fees. Since December 1, the number of active addresses on the Algorand (ALGO) network has surged 300%, jumping from 123,000 to more than 427,000. This exponential growth, driven by increased adoption and growing use of blockchain, has pushed ALGO price to a peak of $0.6133.
The Sandbox is a virtual world where users can create, own and monetize gaming experiences using NFT and SAND tokens, which rose 0.63% to $0.90 in the past 24 hours.
