Drake’s X Account Hacked to Promote $5M Crypto Scam
Rapper Drake’s X account was reportedly hacked on Saturday night in an attempt to promote a fraudulent Solana-based memecoin called “$ANITA,” inspired by his cartoon character Anita Max Wynn. The posts falsely claimed to be in partnership with Drake’s cryptocurrency betting platform Stake, which has more than 39 million followers. The scam’s transaction volume reached $5 million before users realized its fraudulent nature. The posts were later deleted. The incident follows a series of high-profile X account hacks targeting celebrities including Cardi B and Doja Cat, which were used to promote similar cryptocurrency scams.
