Franklin Templeton Updates Crypto ETF Filing, Eyes Future Token Additions with SEC Approval
In a recent move, Franklin Templeton updated its S-1 file for the Franklin crypto index ETF, aiming to get approval to gradually add the token to the fund. The updated file shows that the Franklin Crypto Index ETF will initially focus on Bitcoin (86.31%) and Ethereum (13.69%). Although it does not promise to add other cryptocurrencies, file leaves open possibilities for future increased possibilities, according to SEC approval. In the file, Franklin Templeton specifies that only tokens will be added to the Franklin cryptocurrency index ETF if the SEC has approved or authorized an exchange-traded product/fund for that particular token. If approved, this would be a big breakthrough.
