Sheila Warren’s X Account Hacked Amid Resignation, Promotes Fake Token
Cryptocurrency Innovation Council CEO Sheila Warren’s X account was hacked and used to promote the fake $SPELL token. The compromised post claims that $SPELL is an artificial intelligence and encryption project intended for use with Web3 and Solana. The Cryptocurrency Council was quick to respond to the new post, denouncing it as false content and stating that “this is a scam, not Sheila Warren.” As of December 27, all relevant posts have been deleted. The breach occurred shortly after Warren announced her resignation from the CryptoCommittee, which makes her exit all the more fascinating.
