Trump’s World Liberty Bought $47M Worth of BTC
This was later confirmed by blockchain-based security company Arkham, and Michael ThalerFounder and Chairman of MicroStrategy.
On January 20, 2024, Arkham revealed in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that Trump’s World Liberty purchased $47 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) and $47 million worth of Ethereum (ETH) to celebrate Trump takes office as the 47th president. President of the United States of America.
Donald Trump’s Recent Cryptocurrency Purchases
This massive purchase of BTC and ETH marks the beginning of the era of the “Cryptocurrency Presidency.” In addition to its recent acquisitions, Trump’s World Liberty purchased 177,928 LINK worth $4.7 million, 19.3 million TRX worth $4.7 million, 13,261 AAVE worth $4.7 million, and 47 million USD 507,000 ENA.
The purchase value of each cryptocurrency highlights the pro-crypto stance of the 47th US President.
Despite large purchases of cryptocurrencies, the overall cryptocurrency market appears to be experiencing price declines. This appears to be due to profit booking, however, some whales are taking advantage of the current market sentiment and price drops to make multi-million dollar cryptocurrency purchases.
Currently, BTC is trading close to $103,210, with the price down 1.80% in the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, ETH is trading near $3,350, with the price down 2.25% over the same period.
